The Dusty Attic ATC challenge

Hi, and welcome to my blog, and to my first post as a Dusty Attic DT member (woo hoo). The Dusty attic run a monthly ATC ( artist trading card) challenge, and the theme for January is 'Fairies and butterflies'. This is my first ever attempt at making an ATC, and I must say, they are fun, and very cute, go check out the NING SITE for all the details on entering the ATC challenge...

I have used some brand new release DUSTY ATTIC chipboard, they are so new, they dont even have names yet, but, they will be released very very soon. Ive combined them with one of my all time favourite Graphic 45 paper collections 'Once upon a springtime'...

I have removed the wings from one of the larger butterflies, to use as the fairy wings. I simply painted them with the DA Navajo white paint, allowed that to dry, then added Kindy glitz around the edges. I then cut a piece from the ( new flower flourish chippy) again, painted with Navajo white paint, then inked the outside edges of the leaves, in a soft green ink, and the flower, in a dusty pink colour.  TIP: I like to stipple the ink onto the chipboard piece, using a makeup wedge, working from the outside edge, fading the colour, leaving the middle parts white.

Thanks for calling in, and for sharing my first of many Dusty Attic projects :)
