Hi there,
Im hoping you guys can remember who I am :( Its been so long since Ive had anything to share. I have been busy, I promise, creating for a few magazines, as well as for Manor House Creations, and, Im excited to have started playing with some gorgeous Dusty Attic pieces too, all ready for my January start, as part of their Design Team :)
I wanted to thank everyone who left a comment about the loss of our little dog Molly 2 weeks ago, I really appreciated everyone kind words and thoughts, and it did make it easier... so THANKYOU so much, from me, and my family... we are slowly getting used to her not being around, although, I still expect her to come running up to me everytime I go outside. She was a bit of a bugger, and used to follow us to the bus stop in the mornings ( just a little way up the our dirt road, and there was never any other cars) I remember one morning, I was in my nighty, and gumboots ( as you do), we headed up the road to the bus, and she followed us, and before I realised she was there, she had jumped up into the bus, and was sitting on the seat, playing with the kids !!! To my horror, I had to go and get her off the bus, in my nighty, and pink gumboots !!! The kids thought she was fantastic.... I didnt !!! she did it a few times after that, but, I made a point of getting dressed before I went to the bus.lol..
Anyway, heres some Christmas gifts I made for Manor House Creations, and for my dear friend Stacey's store, in Yeppoon QLD... called THE PAPER TRAIL...

I hope you are all nice and organised for Christmas, so you can avoid the crazy stores at the moment. Im almost done with the gifts, but, we are having Christmas here this year, with 28 people coming, so Im going to have to brave the shops a few more times to get all the food. arrgghh !!!
Have a wonderful week my friends
Oh wow! Those gifts look amazing! Love the vintage feel and those Manor House blooms are fantastic, those will have to go on my wishlist!

ReplyDeleteOh I had a good laugh about you on the bus in your nightie. :) Your tags are so pretty and elegant, especially love the one with the children at Father Christmas' knee. Hope your Christmas meal goes well :)
ReplyDeleteOh dear, I am sure your dog didn't mind the fuss... we have a dog who loves to get into visitors cars, I wonder if one day she will be taken by a stranger and we wont see her again... Your gift ideas are really beautiful. and I look forward to seeing your work in the upcoming mags...
ReplyDeleteOH Karen. :( I am sorry to read of your loss. (((Hugs))) But you have some fun(ny) memories of her..x

I am so sorry for your loss! HUGS!!!
ReplyDeleteThese creations are gorgeous!!!
Oh my dear friend, beautiful work as always. I just love the Manor House range and as I have said woohoo on the Dusty Attic DT for next year. Well deserved. If I was driving the bus for your boys (instead of one 20mins away) I would have had the camera at the ready. I could see the scrap page now. Pink gumboot too match the pink face, oh my mind is racing. :) XX Luv as always.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Christmas Karen :) I will be e mailing you before I leave next week! Lovely MHC projects!!
ReplyDeleteLove these projects Karen!!!
ReplyDeleteHey there Karen. Sorry to hear about your little Molly. I feel like I've heard that bus story before though, maybe you told us in Brisbane? Our pets become such a big part of our family that we feel their loss just as much but I'm glad that you have such beautiful memories of her that you can share.
ReplyDeleteTake care and hopefully we can see some more of your gorgeous creating very soon :).
Love all these projects Karen. I love your combination of old Christmas papers and die cuts. Just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about Molly, she sounds like a character and has left you with some wonderful memories ( The nightie and gumboots is a ripper) I little fur baby had to have a op to remove a tumour in his ear today, and being 14 and a half years old I was a little concerned. He seems to have come out of it pretty good though.
ReplyDeleteYour Christmas creations are just gorgeous as your work always is.
Thank you for your kind words on the loss of my Mum , Christmas is going to be a little sad this year.
I also wanted to thank you for my goodies . You are way to kind and cost you a fortune to post! I can't wait to have a play with it all, thank you again, I am a very lucky girl.
Wishing you and your family a wonderful Christmas
Mary x

ReplyDeleteKaren I had a lovely giggle about your nightie because I can imagine me doing just that, the kids would have had a giggle too but I bet those pink gumboots looked very trendy.
ReplyDeleteLove these tags and I also congratulate you on the honourable mention in the Scrapbook Memories mag.
