I want to share with you the latest work I did for Australian Scrapbook Ideas. I was asked to create 3 layouts, and incorperate old books or pages into my layouts. I had alot of fun doing this. I love to fossick around in second hand shops, so this was right up my alley. I found some a gorgeous old music book, and a beautifully illistrated childrens nursery rhyme book, both complete with yellowed aged edges.
My first layout I did, features the nursery rhyme book. I had these cute photos of Jack, playing with our little piglets, which were just perfect for the '3 little pigs' story and pictures from the book
The next layout features some old music sheets. Ive used the sheet behind my photo, and Ive also created a little music roll as an embellishment. This is a photo of my daughter Ashlee and I at her 21st birthday in August just gone
And the final one is some photos of my Mum, making one of her quilts. She has done some beautiful work over the years, the quilt in the photo isnt one of her favorites, but, I used this one as it matched the colours in the paper I wanted to use LOL ( as we all do Im sure). I used an old sewing pattern as the background for this layout, simply adhered to a piece of kraft cardstock using mod podge. Theres a step by step tutorial in the latest issue of Australian scrapbook ideas on how to make this background for anyone who has the magazine :) ....
Ok, thats it for today. Have a fantastic week. And I will be back soon to share my mega exciting news with you all :)
