I love 'Chapter one'

I really really really do love this new release from Kaisercraft called Chapter one. I have been playing with it for the past week, and this was the first layout I did, which is up on the blog this morning, along with some fabulous works of art from Kirsty and Monika as well.

This is a photo of me (hmmm, a real closeup) My family and friends are constantly nagging me to do more layouts of myself, as like most scrapbookers, I tend to shy away from it. I find scrapping ‘me’ really difficult. Not to mention the fact that I never seem to get any good photos of me, or maybe I need to face the fact that I really do look like that LOL. ( I surely dont really have that many wrinkles, do I ?)

TIP: I just love the Kaisercraft paper blooms, and use at least one or 2 of them on nearly all of my layouts. But sometimes, I want a slightly bigger flower, so a really simple idea is to either punch, diecut or free hand cut 2 larger flowers from a coordinating paper, and then adhere the Kaisercraft paper bloom to the centre of them ( as shown in the picture below)

TIP: Kaisercrafts wooden bird and bird cage are so intricate that I find using paint is too thick, and covers over some of the beautiful detail in these flourishes. Therefore, I like to colour them with ink. Kaisercrafts small ink pads are a perfect size to get into all the little corners, and allows you to still see all the fine details.

Thanks so much for calling in, and for taking the time to leave me such wonderful comments. I hope everyone had a wonderful Mothers day yesturday
