Has it been that long

OMGoodness, its been over a week since Ive had the chance to call in here. Im sorry for my lack of replying to all the wonderful messages you guys have left for me. I have most definately read them all, and do still plan to call in to all my blog buddies blogs, its just that Ive been so busy lately. Ive started a new 'scrappy job' (shhh, I still cant share it with you, Im sorry, it wont be much longer ) But between that, and all my other DT commitments, there doesnt seem to be much time for anything else lately. Dont get me wrong, Im loving it !!  But life is really busy lately :)

Ok, I have a few Kaisercraft projects to share today. These were done a few weeks ago, but never made the Kaisercraft blog, because Kaiser had some mega dramas with the blog, and all our DT stuff was lost in the big black 'cyber space' hole.

This cute layout I did of my youngest son, on his 2nd birthday (He is a big 3 yo now) The 'party animals' range is just perfect for all things birthday related.

Next up are some cute little tags I made, again using the 'party animals' range. The little penguin and the hippo are made using the stamps that come with the collection. They are way too cute.

Lastly is this card I made, using the new sticker sheets Kaisercraft have bought out. They are fantastic, and are included with each new collection. This card was made entirely from the sticker sheet, and honestly took me about 3 minutes to make. Great for people like me, who forget peoples birthday, and remember 4 minutes before they are due to walk through the door :) ....

Right, Im off now to get my 'blog fix'. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Thankyou so much for calling in, and taking the time to leave me a message. I love to read them,

Grrrr computers

Hi my friends... I just wanted to let you all know that I havnt dissapeared off the face of the earth. Well, it felt like I did :(. My computer died on Wednesday, like, completely !!, and about a bazillion dollars, and a new computer later, Im finally back up and running. Wow, how much did I miss my computer, I had no idea how much I relied on it. Ive had to miss alot of DT commitments, cos I just couldnt get the work to them on time... And, I couldnt even contact some of the people, because I never realised before, that the only contact I had for them, was an email address.
Anyway, Im back now, and just got to sort out all the mess now. I wanted to quickly share with you a couple of things I did for Kaisercraft last week, that I didnt manage to post before my computer died. Its my little boys birthday soon, so I used the totally cute 'Party animals' collection to make a birthday banner, and some other party decorations. This is such a fun collection, and so perfect for birthday party's. Firstly I made this cute little banner, using Kaisercrafts new wooden 'Pennant'
Next up, I made some little flags for the straws, I made one each for all the little guests
I saw a similar idea to this in a recent magazine, and thought they would make perfect little gifts for my sone to give his guests when its time to go home. I covered rolls of 'fruit tingles' and added a little thankyou tag to them.
Thanks for taking the time to call in, and a big thankyou for all the wonderful comments xx
Have a great week my friends

I love 'Chapter one'

I really really really do love this new release from Kaisercraft called Chapter one. I have been playing with it for the past week, and this was the first layout I did, which is up on the blog this morning, along with some fabulous works of art from Kirsty and Monika as well.

This is a photo of me (hmmm, a real closeup) My family and friends are constantly nagging me to do more layouts of myself, as like most scrapbookers, I tend to shy away from it. I find scrapping ‘me’ really difficult. Not to mention the fact that I never seem to get any good photos of me, or maybe I need to face the fact that I really do look like that LOL. ( I surely dont really have that many wrinkles, do I ?)

TIP: I just love the Kaisercraft paper blooms, and use at least one or 2 of them on nearly all of my layouts. But sometimes, I want a slightly bigger flower, so a really simple idea is to either punch, diecut or free hand cut 2 larger flowers from a coordinating paper, and then adhere the Kaisercraft paper bloom to the centre of them ( as shown in the picture below)

TIP: Kaisercrafts wooden bird and bird cage are so intricate that I find using paint is too thick, and covers over some of the beautiful detail in these flourishes. Therefore, I like to colour them with ink. Kaisercrafts small ink pads are a perfect size to get into all the little corners, and allows you to still see all the fine details.

Thanks so much for calling in, and for taking the time to leave me such wonderful comments. I hope everyone had a wonderful Mothers day yesturday
