Goodbye 2010.....

Is it just me, or has this year flown by even faster than usual ? They say time goes faster as you get older, but, OMG, if it goes any faster, I dont think I will be able to keep up !!

It has been a wonderful year for me as far as my scrapping umm 'addiction' goes. I found the courage to put myself 'out there' in the scrapping scene in February of this year, by starting a blog, and applying for a couple of design team positions, and submitting some of my work to the Aussie mags. I have been blown away by how fortunate I have been. I have the honour of being accepted onto several wonderful design teams, have had my layouts published in Creating Keepsakes, Scrapbooking Memories and Scrapbook Creations, and have also just recently been accepted onto the design team for a fabulous new Aussie magazine called Australian scrapbook ideas . This is a brilliant magazine, which not only has some amazing designers showcasing their work, but all the layouts have step by step instructions, and theres some great tips and ideas as well, all with 'how to' instructions. My first feature will be in next months magazine, issue 5... Available in the newsagents in January :) ...

Today, I want to share with you a layout I did for the Scrapboxx . follow this link to register for their Free monthly newsletter, full of fabulous layouts, ideas and inspiration.

This layout is of my 2 youngest boys, with Santa. hmmm, trying to get a good photo of both of them smiling was no mean feat. They are both going through a 'weird smile' phase, and this half decent photo was about #30 taken. Poor Santa needed a coffee break afterwards. LOL...

Wishing you all a wonderful new years celebration, and a safe and happy 2011....

Hugs

lovin this collection.....

The English rose collection from Kaisercraft would have to be right up thre with my 'all time favorites' It is so pretty, and really easy to work with, plus, an extra benefit is that it coordinates perfectly with my scrap room. My room has a bit of a shabby chic look about it, and these papers are perfect..... Today, I want to share with you are set of drawers I have made for my room, using the Kaiser drawers, and the english rose collection.

I handmade all the flowers on the top of the drawers using a few different flower making techniques, some chalks, and my cuttlebug dies for the leaves.

The gorgeous flourishes on either end are from the english rose chipboard pack. And here is a pic of my scrap room, so you can see how well this range will coordinate.

thanks for calling in, and please leave a comment , so I know you have been, and I can come visit you :)

What a BRAT :)

Have a look at this little guy !!!!! Its my 2yo, after discovering the talcum powder !!! It was so hard to be angry with him, and not laugh, he just looked soooo funny, and was pretty impressed with himself really..... This layout was done using the newest Kaisercraft range seaside. It is a fabulous range for anything BOY !!!

Oh, and Im so excited, I bought myself a CRICUT !!!!! I have wanted one for the longest time, and saw it at a price that was just too good to bypass. It only cost me $399.00. It didnt include any cartridges, but my lovely friend Kelly has given me a link for a fabulous store in the US, where the cartridges start at $20.00.... (thanks Kel) ..... I cant wait to have a play.... Merry christmas to me.. LOL !!!!!

I Love this new 'english rose'

OMGoodness, how beautiful is this new range from Kaisercraft. English rose is so ME !! Here are just 2 of the layouts I have made using it. They are both of my daughter. One when she was little, and a flowergirl in my Uncle and Aunties wedding, and the other is her and her gorgeous son.

To make the title, I simply inked the chipboard alphabet letters with ‘rose’ coloured ink ( I prefer to use ink, as it dries quicker than paint, and makes less mess). I then covered the alphas with demensional magic. They take a little while to dry, but dont be tempted to speed the drying up, as a hairdryer will make the surface look bumpy.

Thanks everyone for calling in, and please leave me a comment, so I can return the favour. Oh, and a big thanks to everyone who has become a stalker, um, I mean a follower of my blog, Ive only been in blogging land for 6 months, and already have 56 followers. I feel loved :) so thankyou xx

Kaisercrafts "Seaside" collection

I just adore this new range from Kaiser. Seaside is fabulous for boy and girl layouts. The colours are awesome. I made a layout of 3 of my boys (1 wasnt there this day) we went to Warnambool beach, looking for whales one cold wintery day, the kids had a great time climbing around on the rocks for hours.

OK, gotta run, J man has kinder soon, and Mummy needs to make his lunch :) TFL

Gotta be in it to win it....

Hi guys :)

Theres a great comp going on at Kaisercraft this week. All you need to do is log on to their blog, and leave a comment HERE stating which is your favorite collection ( from the 3 December releases). And dont forget the weekly sketch comp as well, each Saturday a new sketch is put up on the blog, there are 4 each month, you can do 1 or all of them, submit them to the gallery, and you could win some fantastic prizes. The first December sketch will be up this Saturday, so agin, keep an eye on the blog :)

I have a layout to share with you. This was a challenge set for the Design team at the The BOXX
We had to complete a layout, without using photos...... This was a real challenge for me in the beginning, cos, Ive never done a LO with no photos before. But then I remembered a special letter I wrote to my beautiful Nan when she passed away, the letter was read at her funeral, but after that, I just stuck it away in the filing cabinet, cos I didnt know what else to do with it. I copied it out, and did a layout featuring the letter, and I am just so happy that I did it. I think I will actually treasure this layout more than alot of the photos ones Ive done.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to call in, and please leave me a comment :)

Have a great week,

TTFN
