Kaisercrafts new '13th hour'

Hi there my friends,
Today I want to share with you a couple of projects  did for the Kaisercraft magazine, featuring the brand new October release collection called '13th hour'. First up is a layout using a goreous photo of my son, blowing a dandelion , yes, I have scrapped this photo of him before, if you are thinking you have seen it already, but I just love it :)

Im very excited about the new transparencies released with this collection ( the clocks and the frames), and can see I will be using them again and again.
Next up is a cute little card I made using the same collection. Using the transparencies again.

Lastly, just a reminder that theres only a couple of days left of this month, and on the 1st of October, I will draw the winner of my first blog giveaway. So if your not already; become a follower, and leave me a message in the post below, for your chance to win.
Thankyou for calling in, and I hope you all have a wonderful week. Oh, and for those in Australia

good news, bad news

Hi everyone, I hope you are having a wonderful weekend wherever you are. Its a beautiful spring day here in Victoria, and all is good :)
Im excited :) My layout was voted as a featured layouts for this months challege over at Once Upon A Sketch. The quality of the work submitted for the challenge was outstanding, so i am very honoured to be have been chosen. Thankyou ladies x

This is my layout for those who didnt see it.

Now, I have some slightly sad new to share. Unfortunately, I have had to resign from Kaisercraft as a designer. As most of you know, my husband and I run a very large cropping farm, and I have 5 kids as well, and well, the workload at Kaisercraft was just far more than I was able to do at this time in my life. Im sad I had to leave, but Im also relieved, and am looking forward to being able to do some scrapping just for me, and having the time to play along with some more challenges.

Heres another layout nI did, which was published in SCRAPBOOKING MEMORIES, I actually had 2 published in this issue, but I cant seem to find a pic of the other one, so will have to show that one next time. This layout is a very special one for me..Its a photo of my Gandparents on their wedding day in 1940. My Grandpop was home on leave from WW2, they got married and he was shipped off the New Guinea a few days later. He was captured by the Japanese, and was taken to Changi, to work on the Burmese railway, he was there for 4 years. He didnt see my Grandmother all that time, and she didnt know if he was alive or dead. By the time they saw eachother again, their first son, my Dad was nearly 4 years old !!

a givaway :)

Hi my firends,

well, aas promised, Im back with a little givaway. I have a serious scrapbook addiction, and buy way more scrappy stuff than I can realistically use. So, I have decided to have a monthly givaway, so one blog reader a month will have a chance to win some scrappy goodness as a thankyou for taking the time to call in to my little blog. I will draw a random winner each month, everyone is welcome to join in, all you have to do is become a follower of my blog (if you are not already) and leave me a message in this post. goodluck. This is what you can win this month :)

Now, I just want to share with you a couple more projects I did for Kaisercraft, using the 2 gorgeous Christmas releases, Dec 25th and Silly season. This first project is an advent calender, using Dec 25th, and Im really happy with how it turned out.

The next one is of my 2 youngest little people, using Silly season

and this one is a quick little gift card holder I made. I have alot of teenage nieces and nephews, who we usually buy gift vouchers for christmas. I thought these little holders were a great idea, so the gift cards dont get lost under the tree on Christmas day.

A very quick post today as I have a sick little 3 year old who wont let Mummy out of his sight :(   These 4 layouts were published in the current issue of Australian Scrapbook Ideas. I was asked to do a feature on 'Multi photo layouts', this is what I came up with.................

This last layout was so quick and easy, a perfect way to get alot of photos into an album quickly.

Some good news, PENCILINES  is back up and running after a 2 week break, and check out his fantastic sketch. Go to the link to check out the details :)

New Prima

Hi there my blogging friends,
Ive been playing along with 'Once upon a....sketch', and 'Bird is the word today. I was lucky enough to get the stunning new 'Printery' collection from Prima for my DT kit from 'the imagination factory' this week, and OMGoodness, it is an amazing collection. The bird word for this challenge is 'memory', Ive used 'memories'. And the 'once upon a ...sketch criteria is to use a date as your title, and journal the importaance of this date. My layout is titled '2011', and this is photo of my DD, taken last week at her 21st birthday party. I still cant believe that she is 21, where did that time go?? It seems like just yesturday that she was a baby in my arms :(

Heres the OUAS sketch........

And here is my layout

Ive flipped the sketch over, but basically followed the sketch pretty closely :) I will have to call in later with the closeups, because Im having trouble with my 'photoshop' programme, and I dont have a clue how to fix it, grrr !!!

Thanks so much for calling in, and I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend x
